Riley Hamilton was born and raised in Springfield, Illinois. He attended Christ the King Grade School and Sacred Heart Griffin High School. Riley graduated from the University of Missouri with a degree in Political Science and minors in American Constitutional Democracy and Leadership and Public Service. While an undergraduate, Riley worked in the Missouri House of Representatives in Jefferson City, MO and the United States House of Representatives in Washington, DC. Before law school, Riley worked as a committee clerk in the Illinois House of Representatives.

Riley then attended the St. Louis University School of Law on a Deans scholarship. During law school, he interned at the St. Louis Zoo and the St. Louis County Juvenile Court. Upon graduation from SLU Law, Riley obtained his Missouri law license and practiced family law in the St. Louis area for several years with Family Law Partners.

In September 2024, Riley obtained his Illinois law license and was hired as an associate attorney by Gates, Wise, Schlosser & Goebel. Riley will focus his practice on Commercial and Real Estate Transactions, Business Operations and General Civil Litigation. Riley and his wife, Sofia, have been married since 2023 and are proud parents to a daughter.
